Natural Pool & Waterfall
Stowe, Vermont
The highlight of this project was creating a natural swimming pool for the homeowners that was built into the hillside below several stone retaining walls. The natural pool utilizes a wetland to provide the primary cleaning and filtration of the freshwater pool. A pump and aeration system keep the water in constant circulation and feed a small upper pool that spills over into several waterfalls flowing back into the main pool. Two stone patios are integrated into the design; one at the upper level off the deck and the second at the lower level at the pool entry.
